Continuing Your Education at the Chai Center
A person much wiser than myself said, “To learn is to live.” That couldn’t be more accurate. What kind of life would it be without knowledge? Of course we’re here to love one another and to form relationships with people and with G-d, but we must enrich ourselves as well. You’re never too old to learn and that’s why the Long Island Jewish Center offers classes for adults, most of which are free.
The classes are aimed to not just be educational, but to be motivating, inspiring, and interactive. It’s not meant to be like your high school biology course. We want you to walk away from the classes feeling better than when you came in and to learn something brand new that you can utilize in everyday life. And you never have to feel obligated to go to every class. You can go to as many, or as few, as you would like. Some of the classes include Kabbalah classes, Torah studies, and Jewish law. There is something for everyone each day of the week.
